I’m sharing a case (I’ve hidden the specific company name). The incident occurred on November 8th, that is, yesterday, when the crossbeam above the entrance to a materials workshop in a certain facility fell down. The factory gate of this facility has two levels; usually, only the lower level of the gate is opened for employees to pass through, while both levels are opened when materials need to be brought in or taken out. The fixing screws at both ends of the upper beam of the gate were not secure; due to strong winds at the time, when the employee tried to close the iron gate, the fixing screws of the upper beam failed, causing the beam to fall and kill the person who was closing the gate. Categorized as an accident. That’s all the information available about this incident for now. So, does your company conduct thorough and comprehensive inspections on a regular basis?

There are many potential risks that, as employees of a company, one actually cannot identify, or even cannot think of; after staying there for a while, they are simply taken for granted. Regularly communicate with nearby companies to foster mutual safety support and allow everyone to inspect each other’s facilities. Only in this way can more potential problems be identified.
