The sensor was not installed in accordance with the indicated flow direction, resulting in the measurement being taken in the opposite direction. Solution: Reinstall. 2. The sensor signal wires are connected in reverse; since the electromagnetic flowmeter has the capability to measure flow in both directions, it displays the reverse flow rate. Solution: Swap the signal wires. 3. The pipeline is empty or not fully filled, with gas present. At this point, the flow meter will display a negative value or the flow rate will fluctuate greatly. Handling method: Fill the pipeline with the medium to be measured to enable the flow meter to function for measurement.
