Self-flowing sewage pipes are available in diameters of 100, 150, and 200; the flow rate and volume are not fixed, and the pipes are not necessarily filled to capacity. I would like to ask which type of flow meter can be used for measurement. The electromagnetic method currently in use provides inaccurate measurements.
For this requirement, electromagnetism should work. It would be much better to try changing the position of the pipe during vertical pipe installation. If you don’t try to ensure a full pipe, it will be difficult to choose a flow meter. Or maybe you should lay it out first and then use an open channel?
If it’s possible to fill the pipe completely, do so; otherwise, consider using an open channel. For water use on the water’s surface, flow meters or turbines can be used; when using turbines, it is important to pay attention to the cleanliness of the medium to avoid blockages.
The second floor is correct – open channels; isn’t this used for environmental monitoring?
Open channels won’t work; during rainy days, rainwater will flow in, and that would result in losses for the sewage treatment plant! The key point now is that all the pipelines are basically about 2 meters underground, so the modifications required are quite substantial.
It’s difficult to use a full pipe, as the discharge volume from factories is not constant. I saw the wastewater from a textile factory – it’s likely difficult to use a turbine there, as there are many fabric scraps in it.
I’ll go check that out, thank you
It’s not environmental testing; it’s the factory’s wastewater that is sent to a wastewater treatment plant for processing before being discharged.
So, should a flow meter be installed before wastewater treatment or after it? If it’s the latter, it is highly recommended that you use open channels for the wastewater flow, as environmental regulations are strict nowadays; the discharge of wastewater through hidden pipes is prohibited, and the installation of online flow meters as well as online water quality monitoring systems is required. Otherwise, any violation will result in severe penalties and mandatory corrective actions, so it’s advisable to consult the environmental protection agency.
Flow meters are installed along the route from the factory to the wastewater treatment plant to measure the amount of water processed by the factory each month, so that the wastewater treatment plant can charge accordingly.
