As the title suggests, the wastewater from our company’s boilers and waste heat exchangers is currently directed back into the circulating water system. I wonder if it’s possible to simply process it and then use it directly as condensate and recycle it to the desalination station?
Both continuous and periodic blowdown from boilers produce high-hardness wastewater; it is not appropriate to recycle this water into the circulating water system, and it is even worse to use it in desalinated water – you will end up suffering more losses than gains.

No, there is no simple solution; at present, the only option is to use desalination plants or advanced water treatment systems to process this water. The value derived from its use is far less than the costs of investing tens of thousands of dollars in such systems.
