Coking units have obvious disadvantages compared to the current new slurry-bed hydrocracking process, and should be phased out as soon as possible.
Coking units have gradually lost their competitive advantage
However, many coking units are still present in newly launched refining and chemical projects. Is it because the solvent deasphalting or hydrocracking processes are not yet perfect, each having its own shortcomings?
