Can water-soluble epoxy resins be used as casting materials?

Before, polyurethane was used for casting materials, but its performance was poor; therefore, water-based epoxy resin is intended to be used as a substitute for polyurethane due to its environmental friendliness. I’m not sure about the effectiveness of water-soluble emulsions and curing agents; I would appreciate some guidance from those who know more!
Oil-based epoxy resin seems to work, right?:)
