How to seal a process manhole.

When sealing the manhole of vacuum cryogenic equipment, it is planned to weld a plate in place; but how should the thickness and diameter of this plate be calculated?
This seems to involve the strength calculation of the pipe outlet, right?
It must have been handed over to the manufacturer of the equipment for calculation; special care should be taken with cryogenic equipment. It’s best not to carry out welding work oneself once it’s out of the manufacturer’s hands
I’m just trying to learn about it; of course I can’t do it without the necessary qualifications, and besides, how would I even go about doing it myself!
Well, I’m not sure if it will work if the opening isn’t very strong
