Should a check valve be installed at the outlet of the liquid sulfur pump? When transporting substances that are prone to solidification, how should the pump outlet be drained completely?
We do not install check valves at the outlet of the liquid sulfur pump. The pipes and valves at the pump’s outlet are equipped with jacketing, and they are heated with steam at 0.3 MPa to prevent sulfur from solidifying.
During maintenance, is the liquid sulfur in the pump outlet pipeline drained through the pump’s drain port?
The liquid sulfur pump is a submersible pump that does not require drainage of accumulated liquid.
You are using a jacketed pump; in maintenance mode, the pump body has an exhaust port, while the piping, being a jacketed type, generally does not require an exhaust.
