If you hadn’t chosen chemical engineering back then, would you be living a better life now? A woman fears marrying the wrong man, while a man fears choosing the wrong career. Looking back, choosing chemistry was like a woman marrying an unambitious man. I’ve suffered and worked hard for half my life, while my husband not only fails to earn any money but also cheats on me and now wants a divorce. Moreover, my youth is gone, and I feel there’s no hope for a second chance at youth. So one day, suddenly, we hugged each other and cried: How could I have been so blind as to choose you! I really regret it! From this perspective, if one had another chance to make a choice in life, it’s likely you wouldn’t choose chemical engineering. Why did I choose chemical engineering back then? What have you gained from working in the chemical industry? What was lost? If you had another chance to choose, what industry would you pick? Now, do you still have the courage to choose to leave?
