What are the small holes on the left and right sides of the cover of the suspension-type cantilever pump (IS type)? It seems that they correspond to the locations of the mechanical seals

No, it has been opened and checked – it’s meant for heat dissipation. The inside of the pump casing is hollow, and these two holes serve as heat dissipation ports or for circulating water; our factory just hasn’t used them yet
