The tank is old and has been steamed; it was originally used to store toluene. It was cleaned with National V diesel, and the chlorine content of the raw material entering the tank was 1.5 ppm, but once it was placed in the tank the chlorine level rose to 87 ppm. There might have been a secondary tank inside the main tank at the time of delivery, but the reason for this cannot be determined. Please help analyze this situation
First possibility: The sampling was not done accurately; it is recommended to take samples from the top, middle, and bottom of both the vehicle sample and the tank sample for separate analysis. Second, pipeline contamination: sample and test all tanks that may have intersecting pipelines, while also reviewing the recent operation records of the oil depot.
