Is the heating steam for the dry torch heater always on? I think it’s a waste when the torch system isn’t in use, as it increases the energy consumption of the equipment. Could control valves be installed on the steam pipelines to regulate the heating steam, with the valves closed when there is no discharge in order to avoid waste? I appreciate it if the seniors can give me some guidance. Thank you.
What is the purpose of heating steam on the torch? Are you worried the torch tip will get cold?
Because low-temperature flare gas may contain liquid when discharged, releasing it directly to the flare without heating can result in a \"fire rain\" phenomenon.

Just add steam directly to the flare? Is it still a heat exchanger for exhaust gases/vapor? There’s actually no waste at all. When the torch is not in use, aren’t the ends of the torch piping systems in each unit supplied with protective gas? This ensures that the torch remains warm even in emergency situations

Nonsense. The torch is cold only when it is stopped; when it is in operation, a constant light keeps it warm.
