Why are seamless steel pipes used for industrial nitrogen pipelines?
Is there such a requirement? Does it come from that specification? I’d appreciate some guidance
It’s not necessary to use seamless steel pipes, right? Generally, oxygen pipelines require seamless steel pipes, as these have less slag and various particles, making it relatively easier to prevent safety accidents. Considering the possibility of pipe leakage: 1- If the medium leaks out, nitrogen may cause a decrease in oxygen concentration in confined spaces; seamless steel pipes are better for this purpose. 2- Moisture or air may penetrate into the pipes, leading to a decline in the quality of the gas. In summary, the requirements for pipes made of nitrogen may not be that high; the main considerations are sufficient pressure resistance and the absence of leakage points.
