According to the new regulations, the device itself does not fall into any specific category, but the coil is classified as Category 1 (in compliance with clause 1.4.2 of the new regulations). Is it necessary to include a seal indicating design qualification on the drawings of such a device? Please discuss it.

According to the interpretation of the container regulations, containers that meet the requirements of 1.4.2 need only comply with the general provisions of the container regulations as well as sections 3.1 and 4.1.1. However, section 3.1, which deals with design requirements, does not specify any requirement for sealing; such a requirement exists only under section 3.2

In our case, there’s no stamp, that’s what the manager said. The reason is the same as on floor 3. But I think the implicit meaning of 3.1 is to include a stamp.
Equipment that does not fall into Category 1 does not require a design qualification stamp, nor is it necessary to apply such a stamp just because its partial structure belongs to Category 1. These are merely my personal opinions.

In my personal opinion, since the local structure fits the aforementioned category, it is necessary to affix a design stamp； In cases where covering is possible, or where it may not be necessary after very thorough discussions, it is still more in line with national conditions to proceed with covering

Personal opinion: For devices that are designed, manufactured, and maintained by the same party, they fall under the category of low-volume pressure vessels according to the relevant regulatory definitions, meaning their level of danger is relatively low. As long as the design and manufacturing units hold the appropriate licenses for handling special equipment and follow the requirements of relevant product standards in their design and manufacturing processes, it’s sufficient. It’s a bit similar to a pressure vessel at normal pressure – no inspection is required, nor are any registration procedures needed for use; therefore, I think it’s not necessary to affix a design seal.
