What kind of valve is this, in what process is it used, and what is its purpose?
It’s a bit like a downward-opening globe valve; I’ve never seen one with such a small diameter. Could the original poster provide some information on this?
For sampling. It is mostly used for extracting high-temperature heavy oil. :lol

When operating, note the scale indicating the opening position; when reaching that scale mark, proceed slowly to prevent splashing

From the diagram, it can be seen that these two valves are different; they resemble sampling valves, but they are somewhat different from the sampling valves I have seen before. Below the sampling valve there is a sampling nozzle, and above it there is a short section that is very thin
