Ladies and gentlemen, it was observed today on site that the contractors were using water and wire brushes to clean the welding joints of the pipes; apparently they were removing acid cleaning residue. There was no mechanism in place to collect the liquid resulting from this cleaning process, so it was immediately stopped, and action was taken to ensure that such liquid is collected. I would like to ask everyone: in practical operations, how are such liquids handled and collected? Clearly, allowing them to flow freely is incorrect.
