What are the advantages of each? Everyone is welcome to discuss
Type I supports are welded to the pipeline, ensuring that the insulation is not under stress； Thermal stress on Type II pipelines ； Type I supports have a material similar to or identical to that of the pipelines; if it is not carbon steel, the cost is high ； Type II supports are basically made of ordinary carbon steel, resulting in low costs ； Type I supports have more heat transfer, while Type II supports have less heat transfer.
Question: Does the insulation on Type II clamps attached to bare tubes also experience stress? In practice, I usually choose Type II. My reasoning is that Type II has a lower cost and can be adjusted on-site; Type I may have a simpler production process, and it was more commonly used in previous years when production techniques were not yet mature. I’m not sure if this reasoning is correct
