According to the standards, DN300 PN2.5 has a pressure rating of 2.5 kilograms. However, looking at the standards for gasketing materials, the minimum rating is PN16. So how should the gasketing material used with this be specified?
With such a low nominal pressure, non-metallic gaskets should be used; wound gaskets require a high degree of pre-tensioning, and flanges with PN2.5 rating are not sufficient for this purpose
For foreigners, is the unit for PN2.5 Mpa or KG? Wire-wound gaskets can be used for the former, but not for the latter
The old notation PN2.5 denotes 2.5 MPa; the current notation PN2.5 denotes 2.5 KG； Metal wound gaskets are required for this application, as the pressure is generally high. For DN300 pipes, 2.5KG is generally not used, unless it is for ventilation purposes only.
