I’d like to ask gently: due to environmental regulations, coal-fired boilers with a capacity of less than 20T are now being phased out. A power plant is currently investing 8 billion to build pipelines that will transport gas (steam) from the plant to urban supply stations; the length of these pipelines is around 80 KM, and they need to pass through rivers and roads. Do such pipelines fall under the GA category or the GB category?
I would also like to know more. Our company is planning to install a heating pipeline for superheated steam with a length of 24 KM and a pressure of 3 MPa. From what I understand, GA is only suitable for transporting oil and gas, not steam; steam has a high temperature while oil and gas have lower temperatures, so the two are different, and GB is the only applicable standard in this case
GA category (long-distance pipelines): Long-distance (oil and gas) pipelines refer to pipelines used for transporting commodity fluids between production sites, storage facilities, and end-users, and are classified into GA1 level and GA2 level. GD category (power pipelines) refers to the pipelines used in thermal power plants for transporting steam and two-phase steam-water mixtures, and is divided into GD1 grade and GD2 grade. B4.1 GD1 grade: Pipes with a design pressure of 6.3 MPa or more, or a design temperature of 400°C or more. B4.2 GD2 class: Pipes with a design pressure of less than 6.3 MPa and a design temperature of less than 400°C. Take a look and see which category it should belong to ?
It seems it should still be classified under GB2~~ It’s a thermal pipeline, not a power pipeline, so it shouldn’t fall under GD~~ I’m not sure what the parameters of the steam are ~~

GA category (long-distance pipelines) is further divided into: GA1 category and GA2 category; GB category (public pipelines) is further divided into: GB1 category and GB2 category ; The GC category (industrial pipelines) is further divided into: GC1 category, GC2 category, GC3 category ; GD category (power pipelines) is further divided into: GD1 category and GD2 category.
A 100W power station boiler is not a power pipeline; power pipelines lead to the turbine, while this is just a extraction steam pipe
I think GB-class heating pipelines refer to the heating pipelines within a city, which run from power plants to urban steam supply stations
The same goes for steam pipes; once they leave the power plant’s perimeter, it’s GB2
