It’s a pneumatic ball valve with an AT92 actuator; it’s single-acting and normally open. When there is no air supply to the valve, there is always a ‘clicking’ sound during the opening process, or at the end of opening. Is this due to some gap between the valve stem and the ball? Please indicate, and it would be best to include a solution. Thank you!
Have you ever paid attention to whether the sound comes from the valve body or from the actuator?
If it’s not a unitary design for the stem, one should first suspect the connection point between the valve ball and the stem; it’s difficult for such a sound to be produced at any other location.
