Dear teachers, may I ask: for pneumatic valve air storage tanks and filter-regulator valves, should the air supply first go to the filter-regulator valve and then to the storage tank (Figure A), or should it first go to the storage tank and then to the filter-regulator valve (Figure B)? Which one is better?

The air storage tank serves to supply air during emergencies, that is, it ensures that the valves can be moved to a safe position in the event of power or air supply failures

My personal suggestion is to use a gas storage tank first, followed by a pressure reducing valve. The pressure of the instrument air at the site is 0.6 MPa; the pressure in the storage tank before the pressure reducing valve is also 0.6 MPa. The pressure after the pressure reducing valve is less than 0.6 MPa. In the event of a failure in the instrument air supply, the higher the pressure in the storage tank, the better, as this will result in a longer operating time for the valves
What size should the gas storage tank be? Generally, the buffer tank is placed on the high-pressure side
Whether a filter-regulator is installed in front of the gas tank or not, one must be installed after the tank to stabilize the gas pressure
