Ball valve body cover connection seal ring

Some expert, please take a look; I’ve run into a problem. For the small-bore, low-pressure fixed ball valve rated at 150lb, is it possible to omit the O-rings in the body and cover connection and use only 316 graphite instead? No relevant specifications were found for API6D.
It is needed; for the sealing ring that seals the upper part of the ball, looking at the drawings, there are actually two layers
That isn’t a body cover either; the connector for the body cover is a gasket. It’s best to ask the factory or experienced engineers about this issue
There are legends of valves that do not require sealing rings, as the metal seals itself. Who has seen it?
