The issue of installing a heat exchanger directly behind the water pump

May I ask if the heat exchanger can be connected directly after the water pump, or are there any engineering requirements that dictate a certain distance between the pipes before the heat exchanger can be installed? Which specifications or standards require this?
Is there a check valve connected to the outlet pipe? Are no valves installed at all?
Thank you. The relevant valves are available. But in all cases, the fluid comes out of the pump, changes diameter, and then is connected directly to the valve. What I mainly want to know now is whether, considering vibration issues with the fluid coming out of the pump, it would be better to add a section of pipe; are there any standard specifications regarding this?
Generally, a 100 mm diameter pipe is left, right? Are there any requirements regarding welds? I haven’t found any regulations stating that direct connection is not allowed; if any of you know something about this, please advise me. The manufacturer said that some reduced-diameter check valves can be connected directly, but I’m really unsure at the moment
If vibration damping is considered, flexible gaskets or flexible short tubes can be used.
