Hello everyone, why are check valves installed on the nitrogen pipelines at the utility station? There’s nothing else. What’s the purpose of doing this? Thank you.

It depends. Things like circulating water flow through the tube side; sleeves and similar components do not come into contact with the material. Generally, additives are used for the material itself
The utility stations I encountered didn’t have check valves installed; of course, it’s no harm to install them
Have encountered hydrogen leaking into the nitrogen pipeline during displacement
