I designed a manual butterfly valve with a DN250 size, model D41E-10P. The temperature of the medium is around 240 degrees, the pressure difference before and after the valve is about 3 KPa, and the system operates under negative pressure. I was driving today, and the mechanic spent the whole afternoon trying to adjust it but couldn’t do it; I also wasn’t able to get the vehicle running. Experienced experts, please help me figure out whether it’s necessary to install a worm gear on this valve, or if it’s a quality issue with the valve itself.

The pressure difference isn’t that great; how could it not open? Check to see if there are any mechanisms or locks
Rigid seals do require more force to open and close, but it shouldn’t be impossible to operate them. The diameter isn’t very large either, and the pressure is so low – I don’t understand it
Is the boss in the valve manufacturing business? Is this a normal situation?
First, it is necessary to confirm that the installation method is correct, the installation direction is proper, and there are no issues during the pre-operational testing. After reducing the temperature to room temperature, close the upstream and downstream valves and vent the pipeline; the valves should open normally in this state. After ruling out the above factors, if it still cannot be opened, the valve needs to be inspected on the ground.
DN250 is not considered a large diameter, and the pressure difference before and after it is not significant either
For butterfly valves, I use turbines for all of them with a capacity of 100
