For my project, one of the construction units purchased electrodes and wires that comply with the standards GB/T5117-2012 \"Welding electrodes for non-alloy steels and fine-grained steels\" and GB/T8110-2008 \"Wires for carbon steel and low-alloy steel in gas shielded welding\", to be used for welding industrial pressure pipelines. Is this welding material suitable for pressure-bearing applications? Can it be used for welding pressure pipelines? Must welding materials for pressure pipelines be those specified in the NB/T47018 standard? I’m seeking answers from professionals; thank you very much.
Welding rods shall comply with 5117 and 47018, and welding wires shall comply with 8110 and 47018. Both the weld material certificate and packaging must meet these two standards.

Since the construction party purchased welding materials of this kind, which do not meet the requirements of NB/T47018, we believe that this batch of welding wires is not suitable for use in pressure-bearing applications. However, the construction party disagrees with us and persists in their position.
The welding of industrial pipelines should generally comply with the requirements of GB50236-2011, \"Code for Construction of Welding Works of Field Equipment and Industrial Pipelines.\" Clause 5.0.2 of this standard specifies that weld qualification shall be carried out in accordance with NB/T47014; NB/T47014 requires that the welding materials meet the standards specified in NB/T47018. Therefore, the welding material must also meet the requirements during actual welding.
