Generally, high-pressure flange fasteners are made of 35CrMo material that has been treated with blueing. Will such fasteners rust after being blueed? Why did my batch of fasteners rust in less than half a year after being used in Beijing?
It wasn’t coated with anti-rust oil; without anti-corrosion treatment, it will rust over time
The blue film alone has poor corrosion resistance, but its resistance to corrosion and friction improves after being coated with oil, wax, or varnish.
