Could you please explain what a single-side sealed manual ball valve is? The client mentioned that one side is cut off or has an opening; I’m not sure what form this takes
A ball valve has two seatings, one on each side of the ball. Single-sided sealing means that there is a seating only on one side, with no seating on the other side; sealing is possible only when there is a seating, as it cannot be achieved without one. I’m not sure what \"single-sided cutting\" or \"making a hole\" refers to. It could either be a C-type hemispherical valve or a fixed single-seat O-ring ball valve. Single-sided trimming or porting of ball valves is typically done only in cryogenic ball valves. This is because, with bidirectional sealing, once the ball valve cuts off the pipeline, the valve cavity becomes a sealed space. Since no cryogenic medium is supplied to it, the temperature inside the cavity rises, creating a “boiler effect” that presses the ball against the valve seat, thereby causing the valve to seize and become impossible to open.
For use in hydrogen peroxide applications, customers are concerned that the increase in pressure of hydrogen peroxide inside the ball could lead to leaks. Are there any single-seal ball valves that can be recommended for this purpose?

Valves used in hydrogen peroxide pipelines: when the ball valve is closed, the hydrogen peroxide inside the valve core cannot be discharged, resulting in a dead zone within the valve core. If the hydrogen peroxide in this dead zone decomposes, pressure cannot be released, which leads to high pressure and may cause the valve to explode. Therefore, ball valves used for hydrogen peroxide typically require holes to be drilled in one side of the valve core, so as to prevent the formation of a dead zone when the valve is closed.
This can be done by drilling a hole in a regular ball valve; that is, drill a hole on just one side of the valve stem.
