They will be used in the 174,000-cubic-meter large-scale LNG carriers manufactured by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., marking the first time that domestically produced LNG cryogenic expansion joints are utilized in such large-scale LNG carriers. As internationally recognized \"three-high\" products characterized by high technology, high complexity, and high added value, large LNG carriers, along with aircraft carriers and large cruise ships, are regarded as the \"three gems on the crown\" of the shipbuilding industry, representing the highest standards in this field. The low-temperature expansion joint products provided by Shuangrui Special Equipment are key flexible compensation components in the low-temperature piping systems of large LNG carriers, serving functions such as displacement compensation, vibration reduction, noise suppression, and sealing. Due to harsh operating conditions such as extreme temperature differences, severe marine corrosion, and intense vibration, related products had previously relied on imports for a long time. To meet the need for autonomy and control over key core technologies and equipment, Shuangrui Special Equipment has made full use of its decades of technical expertise in the field of expansion joints, as well as its successful experience in developing products such as LNG low-temperature expansion joints. It has overcome the technical challenges associated with low temperatures and impacts faced by low-temperature expansion joints used in LNG carriers, developing key technologies such as impact resistance, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance. These products have successfully passed classification society certifications, thereby meeting the requirements for reliable operation of low-temperature pipelines on LNG ships. The Shuangrui intelligent assembly workshop for LNG cryogenic expansion joints, the first of its kind in the industry to be put into use in the second half of this year, provides a solid foundation for ensuring the mass delivery of products. Through intelligent and information-based upgrades, this workshop has significantly improved product quality by adopting smart three-dimensional storage, automated logistics distribution, and automatic welding technologies. Production efficiency has increased by more than twice compared to before, further enhancing the company’s product technology capabilities and manufacturing delivery skills.
