On January 15, the Steel Pipe Branch of Petrochemical Machinery signed a contract with **Pipeline Network Group for the ‘Intensive Procurement Project for Pipeline Steel Pipes for 2025–2026’. For the 4 bid packages of this centralized procurement project, the Steel Pipe Branch won bids in all of them. Among them, spiral submerged arc welded steel pipes ranked first in the comprehensive scoring for the large-diameter bid package, while straight-seam submerged arc welded steel pipes achieved a new breakthrough by winning the bid for products with a diameter of 1422 millimeters. The steel pipe branch has the capability to manufacture a full range of pipe types, including straight-seam submerged arc welded pipes, spiral submerged arc welded pipes, straight-seam high-frequency resistance welded pipes, and hot-drawn bent pipes, as well as special pipes for hydrogen and carbon dioxide transportation. By introducing intelligent equipment and enhancing the application of manufacturing execution systems (MES), continuous digitalization-driven efficiency improvements are achieved, which enables meeting the demands of complex projects involving ultra-high steel grades, extreme wall thicknesses, large diameters, and very long pipelines. The products are widely used in key projects such as the West-East Gas Pipeline, Sichuan-East Gas Pipeline, and the Second Sichuan Gas Pipeline, and are exported to more than 30 countries and regions around the world. Entering 2026, the steel pipe branch showed strong performance from the very beginning. All three production lines – straight-seam, spiral, and high-frequency – operated at full capacity, with cumulative output exceeding 10,000 tons in just 10 days, setting a new record for output during that period and demonstrating efficient production organization as well as reliable delivery capabilities. Taking this winning bid as an opportunity, the Petrochemical Machinery Steel Pipe Branch will focus closely on the needs of **pipeline network construction, strive to build a solid foundation of high-quality steel, aim for \"inspection-free delivery,\" and integrate fully into the **pipeline network’s \"Quality Leadership\" strategy. By strengthening quality control throughout the entire process, it will provide reliable pipe materials to support **energy security.
