Dear sea friends: Just like Aspen District moderator *EJIAHUA (taking advantage of his expertise), I also graduated from Nanjing University of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology. After graduating, Xiao Shuo worked in an engineering company as a process designer; he used InPlant software for half a year to verify the main process pipelines of his first project in his career. I am also learning about other software, standard specifications, and technical knowledge; since my understanding is not yet sufficient at the moment, I’ll refrain from sharing what I know. InPlant is simple to operate and easy to get started with; it is essentially a professional version of the Bernoulli equation. Compared to Aspen Plus, Hysys, and PRO/II, it is much, much simpler and not difficult at all. Many experts on the forum probably also think that this software isn’t challenging enough, which is why they haven’t included it in their discussions. However, for beginners, it might be helpful if someone could provide some basic guidance at the start; this would make things much easier and save a lot of time. Similar to InPlant, Pipephase has a very similar user interface; it is simply more focused on the simulation of oil and gas pipelines, with additional calculations related to oil and gas. It’s not used much in projects, but for some basic issues it’s fine. There aren’t many posts related to PipePhase on the forum, and it’s not particularly convenient for people to discuss these topics there. By gathering them here, it will be much easier and faster to provide answers. For me, first, I hope to have the title of a technical discussant so that I can engage in discussions; secondly, I also hope that through these discussions, some new ideas can emerge, allowing us to discover issues that were previously unnoticed, thereby enhancing our understanding and ability to use software, and thus serving everyone’s work, studies, and daily life better. Given my current limited capabilities, I may not be able to answer some of the questions raised. Please forgive me for that, and I welcome any criticism or suggestions if there are any mistakes. Wish everyone progress in their studies, success in their work, and happiness in their families! PS: For software downloads, please use Baidu

Haha, Nanguo produces great experts; Longkui has finally started teaching
Haha, it’s just a minor issue; nothing serious. I’m also just starting out, so if there are any problems, let’s discuss them together
No one discussed it, probably mainly because relatively few people use it.
Maybe that’s indeed the case. Fluid calculation software is much simpler compared to process simulation software; once you understand the basic operations, achieving convergence isn’t particularly difficult. I’ll take another look at Pipenet and Pipesim and think about it further, then create a post on it, haha
For Version L, a video using a simple example can be created to encourage active discussion among everyone.
Take it slow, proceed gradually, hehe
A simple video on conducting water network calculations for inplants could be made first, to see everyone’s responses.
