Construction begins on CSIC’s 60,000-ton soda ash project

On November 23, the relocation and construction of Sino Salt Kunshan Co., Ltd.’s project with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of soda ash officially began in Zhangpu. Once completed and put into operation, the facility will be able to produce 600,000 tons of soda ash and 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year, with an output value of 1.89 billion yuan. 　　It is understood that the total investment in the relocation and reconstruction project of CSIC Kunshan amounts to 2.75 billion yuan. Phase I of the project covers an area of 698 mu. As the core component of the relocation and reconstruction efforts, the 600,000-ton soda ash project will help CSIC Kunshan further extend and expand its industrial chain, serving as a new profit driver for the company. Ultimately, this project aims to transform CSIC Kunshan into a modern salt chemical enterprise featuring world-class technologies and ranking among the top in China. The relocation and reconstruction project of CSIC Kunshan will also serve as a crucial driving force for the economic and social development of Zhangpu.
