Shilian Chemical’s 1 million tons per year soda ash project has achieved successful trial production

Bales of lightweight soda ash were recently transported off the conveyor belts at Jiangsu Shilian Chemical (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan Glass Group, marking the successful trial production of Shilian Chemical’s 1 million tons per year soda ash production facility. Since the start of construction on the caustic soda project at this company in September 2009, progress has been rapid, with salt and caustic soda being produced successively. At the current pilot production stage, the production capacity of lightweight soda ash has reached 30% of the designed capacity; once full-scale operation begins in September, it will reach 1 million tons per year.
That’s amazing! Being able to reach 1 million tons by September is truly inspiring; they are a role model for us!
The Great Leap Forward? There were continuous accidents just a few days ago – how is it that full production was achieved already in September?
