What specific products in the pharmaceutical industry are made using industrial soda ash? I would appreciate some guidance on this.
Baking soda is widely used in the medical field, right? But how much would it cost to produce soda ash that meets pharmaceutical-grade standards! !
Mainly, I don’t have much understanding of the medical applications of soda ash; I’d like to learn more about it. From what I know, soda ash can be used as a raw material to produce macrolide antibiotics. I also want to know what can be done in medicine

Some reactions involving halogens require acidic conditions to proceed. The conversion rate in such reactions is often related to time; therefore, reaction monitoring is carried out under acidic conditions, and the reaction is terminated once the desired degree of conversion is achieved. At this point, the reaction conditions need to be adjusted to a pH of 7–8. Typically, a certain proportion of alkaline solution (sodium carbonate solution) is added dropwise into the reaction system (since the heat release occurs during the dropping process rather than during mixing).
