Why are the heat exchangers in the 48% caustic soda evaporation unit, as well as those used for exchanging heat with 41% caustic soda, multi-stage tubular heat exchangers? Why not use plate heat exchangers? Thank you!

Our unit initially used plate heat exchangers, which were in use for 5 or 6 years. However, it was found during operation that various types of gaskets had to be replaced, and none of them could ensure long-term performance; the frequent need to replace gaskets disrupted the continuity of production
