The brackish water at the anode outlet of the Beihua Electromechanical Cell contains nickel

We are using electrolyzers manufactured by Beihua Machinery. Recent tests for trace elements revealed that the brine at the anode outlet contained as much as 500 PPb of nickel, while no nickel ions were detected in the incoming concentrated brine. What could be the reason for this? I would like to ask everyone:**dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:
1. How did you think of collecting this data? 2. This is likely a material issue; since the anode material is not nickel, it’s best to consult the original manufacturer. 3. Whether it is a new slot or an old slot
Have the catholyte inlet and outlet been inspected?
The anode outlet contains nickel; I think there is an issue with the analysis data. Nickel should appear on the cathode side only. If it appears on the anode side, another possibility is a problem with the material of the anode outlet pipe, or leaks in the electrolyzer on either the cathode or anode side, or leaks in the ion membrane. These possibilities need to be checked one by one, but they are less likely to be the cause. In such cases, indicators such as cell voltage and chlorine/hydrogen levels would show changes. It is still necessary to carefully investigate and analyze the problems.
