Are there any friends in the chlor-alkali industry? What materials are generally used for pipes in this industry? Especially for NaCl solution pipelines, what material should be used for those with higher temperatures, around 50-60°C?
What about heat exchangers? Can’t they use fluorine-lined ones? !
There are many options: CPVC/FRP composite pipes, steel-lined PTFE pipes, and titanium pipes.
Steel-lined PTFE. Fiberglass, graphite for heat exchangers
Those who meet the conditions can consider steel linings with low calcium and magnesium content
CPVC, steel-lined PTFE, and steel-lined rubber are available
For NaCl solution pipelines, in the brine processing stage, those with a rubber-lined steel structure are used before the filter (as they are inexpensive), while those with a low-calcium/magnesium rubber-lined steel structure are used after the filter (to meet the process requirements)； In the secondary brine process, steel-lined low-calcium magnesium rubber is also used ； Steel-lined PTFE and titanium are commonly used in the electrolysis process. For ease of management, steel-lined PTFE can be used in both the primary saline and secondary saline processes.
