Recently, the pile foundation work for the 400,000-ton/year PVC production facility as part of the second phase of Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd.’s transformation project aimed at integrating industrial and digital technologies was commenced. The \"two-industry\" relocation and transformation project of Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd. focuses on developing the two product chains of chlor-alkali chemicals and petrochemicals. The project is carried out in two phases; the first phase, which originally focused on chlor-alkali chemical production, has been upgraded to a comprehensive chemical project that combines chlor-alkali chemicals, petrochemicals, and coal chemicals. In June 2022, all seven units of Phase 1 of the project were successfully commissioned. The second phase of the project involves a chlor-alkali integrated facility; it will be built using existing land resources. On Plot 2, a 300,000-ton/year caustic soda plant and a 400,000-ton/year VCM plant will be constructed, while on Plot 3 a comprehensive laboratory building will be built. On Plot 4, a 400,000-ton/year PVC plant will be established, with utility and auxiliary facilities provided for each plot. The total land area of the project is 464,000 square meters, with a building area of 125,000 square meters; the total investment exceeds 5 billion yuan. The pile foundation work for the 400,000 tons per year PVC project was carried out by the Survey and Design Institute of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s 13th Construction Company; the volume of prestressed concrete piles required for this project is approximately 110,000 meters. Tianchen Company has won the EPC contract for the 400,000-ton/year (suspension process) polyvinyl chloride plant, the 400,000-ton/year VCM plant, as well as the auxiliary utility projects, under the second phase of the relocation and transformation project of Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd. related to the integration of industrial and information technologies.
