Hubei Yihua has shut down the chlor-alkali production facilities at its old plant in Yichang. On September 2, Hubei Yihua responded to investors’ questions on an interactive platform, stating that it has taken the initiative to implement measures for the comprehensive protection of the Yangtze River and to carry out the task of shutting down, transforming, or relocating chemical enterprises within a 1-kilometer radius along the riverbank. As a result, the company has shut down the chlor-alkali facilities at its old plant in Yichang, and it is investing in a new chlor-alkali project in the Tianjiahe Chemical Industrial Park in Yichang. This project aims to increase the production capacity of caustic soda, and to replace PVC products with liquid chlorine and high-purity hydrochloric acid, thereby supporting the production of other chemical products in the park and further enhancing the company’s profitability and market competitiveness.
