Please discuss: What is the trend regarding the quality of soda ash? What would be an appropriate level to control for the key indicators of salt and water-insoluble matter?
Currently, the salt content requirement for the production of high-end glass is below 0.2%. Of course, the lower the water-insoluble content, the better.
The future development trend will definitely be towards higher density, specifically low-salt, high-density products. Going forward, there may even be a demand for ultra-low-salt products.
In reality, when it comes to product quality, the ideal situation is naturally to have as high a purity as possible; however, economic considerations must also be taken into account. Essentially, the requirements regarding a product’s quality depend on the needs of its users. In the future, as people’s living standards improve and high-grade glass becomes universally used, the market for light gray glass will gradually shrink.
