According to Lianyungang Alkali Industry Co., Ltd. as of May 2026, one year has passed since the company completed the upgrade and transformation of its entire production process. Over the past year, through communication and technical discussions with burner manufacturers, ordinary burners were replaced with wear-resistant ones, and the number of days on which these burners operated continued to set new records, eventually exceeding 100 days. To address this persistent issue of loose bolts on the mill drum, the workshop developed a detailed replacement plan. In addition, the reform of the primary drum screen in the rod mill was completed, improving screening efficiency and product quality, and the slurry concentration was significantly increased. Through technical modifications, high-flash gas is sent to the shift stripping tower. The quality of the slag water has improved significantly, and the quality of the ash water has reached an ideal level. Regarding the issue of steam attenuation in the waste boilers, the workshop has contacted the manufacturer, with plans to address this problem through technical upgrades that involve increasing the amount of spray water used. In June 2025, 100,000 tons of excess high-concentration carbon dioxide from the synthetic ammonia plant of Lianyungang Alkali Industry Company was supplied to Shayingxi Company. Additionally, the exhaust gas is also sent to Chenhong Special Gases for the production of liquid carbon dioxide. Currently, this project is in progress. The relocation, upgrading, and renovation project of Lianyungang Alkali Industry Company involves the construction of facilities capable of producing 1.1 million tons of caustic soda per year, 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year, and 1 million tons of vacuum salt per year, along with the supporting auxiliary infrastructure. For synthetic ammonia production, Jinhua furnace gasification (three Jinhua furnaces, two in operation and one as backup), shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, sulfur recovery, and ammonia synthesis are employed. Drive in May 2025. On July 27 of the same year, the relocation, upgrading and renovation project passed the 168-hour full-load trial production and the performance assessment of the entire facility.
