The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone talks about safety, and everyone knows how to handle emergencies; identifying and addressing risks and hazards. -- News from June 16: Olin, the world’s leading supplier of chlor-alkali products, and Huntsman, a leader in the polyurethane industry, have announced their merger! The two parties will create a leading chemical company with a market value of over $12 billion. The new company will integrate the chlor-alkali, epoxy resin, polyurethane, and amine chemicals businesses, as well as the advanced materials platform, thereby becoming one of the few global chemical groups to cover all three areas of \"basic chemicals – specialty chemicals – end-use solutions\". The merged company will be renamed OlinHuntsman and will be controlled by Olin’s shareholders (54.5%). As for the key leadership roles, Olin’s current CEO, Ken Lane, will serve as the CEO of the merged company, while Huntsman’s current CEO, Peter Huntsman, will assume the role of non-executive chairman of the merged company. The deal is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027, with foreign media estimating its value at around $2.43 billion, or approximately 16.42 billion yuan.
