Our company’s 300KT sulfur-based acid production plant is scheduled for a major overhaul, during which Boiler Economizer I is planned to be replaced. During the technical briefing provided by the equipment manufacturer, two options were proposed: Option 1: Deaerator outlet temperature of 104°C – Feedwater preheater temperature of 140°C – Low-temperature section of Boiler Economizer I at 160°C – High-temperature section of Boiler Economizer I at 199°C – Return to feedwater preheater at 163°C – High-temperature section of Boiler Economizer I at 233°C – Flow to the waste heat boiler drum; Option 2: Deaerator outlet temperature of 104°C – Low-temperature section of Heat Pipe Boiler Economizer I at 160°C – High-temperature section of Boiler Economizer II at 199°C – High-temperature section of Boiler Economizer I at 234°C – Flow to the waste heat boiler drum. Option 1 involves heating the inlet deoxygenated water using high-temperature deoxygenated water, thereby increasing the temperature of the incoming water and preventing dew point corrosion in economizer 1. This is beneficial for extending the lifespan of the economizer. However, it requires the addition of an additional heat exchanger.
Is it the production of acid from smelting flue gas? Pay attention to fin blockage in the low-temperature section, and try to raise the wall temperature in that area. At the same time, it is also necessary to control the moisture content in the flue gas at the outlet of the drying tower to prevent an increase in the dew point.
