Environmental regulations are becoming increasingly strict, and it is becoming more and more important to address exhaust smoke emissions. Our plant produces acid from the flue gases generated during the smelting of zinc concentrate; it features two rotors and two absorbers, and although there is an exhaust absorber in place, it is not in use, and the exhaust gases meet the required standards. But the smoke coming from the exhaust is a real problem. There is one system related to this; for a year after starting to drive, there has been smoke coming from the exhaust, sometimes more and sometimes less. Everything that could be checked has already been checked. I checked the equipment, the packing, air leaks, and all the relevant parameters, but I couldn’t find any cause for the problem. Does anyone have any relevant experience to share?
See if there is a good time for it, such as during the initial testing phase or the early stages of use. If it starts to fail later on, then it’s a problem related to maintenance; if it fails from the beginning, then it’s a design issue.
Perhaps the process matching between the calcination system and the acid production system was not properly addressed during system design.
How many milligrams of exhaust are allowed for it to be considered compliant?
