Commencement of Okra Chemical’s new materials project: On August 29, the commencement ceremony for Okra Chemical (Hubei) Co., Ltd.’s new materials project was held at the Yaojiagang Chemical Park in Zhijiang City. The new materials project of Okra Chemical (Hubei) Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 5 billion yuan and covers an area of 480.8 mu. It mainly produces products such as nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, optical-grade potassium nitrate, molten-salt-grade potassium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate, and nitro-water-soluble fertilizers, with the potential to generate an annual output value of 5 billion yuan. This project is not only a symbolic initiative marking the 10th anniversary of disco’s establishment in Zhijiang, but it also serves as a pioneering project for the company to enter the fields of new materials and new energy. It will surely inject strong momentum into the development of Zhijiang’s chemical and new material industry by helping to extend and strengthen its industrial chains as well as fostering cluster development.
