Dear acid industry professionals, let’s discuss what materials are used for the overflow weirs and the reverse nozzles of those weirs in your own factories or in the factories you have visited. What is the diameter of the main pipeline that carries fluid from the high-level tank to the overflow weir? What is the diameter of the pipes in each branch leading to the overflow weir? Is waste discharge done at a constant level or on a regular automatic basis? How effective are these systems currently? Thank you all
The transition section is lined with PTFE (or lead-plated, or lined with Hastelloy) + graphite bricks (or acid-resistant tiles, or corundum bricks). The overflow weir may be equipped with automatic drain valves, or it may be designed for manual cleaning; there are even designs without any drainage ports (to save money).

Now, reverse nozzles made of metal are rarely used; those lined with graphite bricks are more common.
