Since last week, the dry-absorbed acid in our company has started to turn white, while the refined acid has not been affected. After one or two days, all of the refined acid turned white except for that in cycle phase 3; this week, when dry absorption acid was used, all of the refined acid turned white as well. Moisture is normal, gas concentration is normal, exhaust gases are normal, the temperature of the sulfur burning furnace is normal, and pressure is normal.
It’s possible that the control of sublimed sulfur is not adequate!

I’ve found the reason: the drying and filtering efficiency is worse than before, as there’s a large hole in the pump inside tank 93. After replacing the pump and filter, it gradually returned to normal.
Carbon steel: the cause has been identified. It’s the 93-cycle tank – the pump has holes in it, moisture from dry air gets in, and the filter screen does not provide adequate filtration.
