Nicotinic acid gives a blue color, and this has persisted for several days. The pH value on the water side of AP is normal, and the temperature measured on the outer surface of AP is also normal. Meanwhile, in these past few days, the error between the measured nicotinic acid concentration and the online value has increased to around 1.2, whereas the original error was around 0.2. The color of nicotinic acid remains unchanged when left at rest, but it returns to normal once heated, with the blue color disappearing. The acid temperature and level are normal; the acidity concentration during the first and second suction stages, as well as the acid temperature and color, are all within normal ranges.
Apart from the anode protection cooler, could corrosion occur in other parts that come into contact with nicotinic acid? What is the format of the online concentration table?
Inspections revealed that the resistance of the foam catcher in the drying tower had increased significantly to 6.5 KPA; the negative pressure at the fan inlet increased while the positive pressure at the outlet decreased. This was likely caused by sulfur sublimation resulting from the blackened slag generated during baking. After strictly controlling the color of the slag and the gas concentration, the color of the smoke gradually returned to normal. During routine maintenance, the foam trap of the drying tower was removed; there was a large amount of sublimed sulfur. After cleaning it and reinstalling it, the resistance returned to normal levels.
