According to news from June 2, **information from the Intellectual Property Office shows that Hangzhou Jihua Jiangdong Chemical Co., Ltd. has filed a patent application titled “A Method for Preparing Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid,” with the publication number CN120057869A; the application was submitted in November 2023. The patent abstract indicates that the present invention discloses a method for preparing nitrosyl sulfuric acid, which involves the reaction of nitrogen monoxide gas with mixed acids to produce nitrosyl sulfuric acid; the nitrogen monoxide-containing gas originates from ammonia oxidation products, nitric acid oxidation waste gases, or combustion waste gases. This invention uses nitric oxide to reduce nitric acid in order to produce nitrosyl sulfate; compared with the traditional sulfur dioxide reduction method, it does not consume sulfur dioxide, results in less consumption of nitric acid, generates less heat during the reaction, maintains stable pressure, and offers high production safety. Nitric oxide is a common component in waste gases from chemical plants, and its treatment represents a challenge. Converting it into a useful substance for the production of nitrosyl sulfate offers significant economic and environmental benefits.
