There are differences in the cyclone structures at the front and rear of the boiler. The interior of the boiler must be lined with refractory bricks due to the high operating temperature, and the material requirements for the ash discharge valve below are high and the valve life is limited. However, carbon steel or slightly higher grade alloy steel is generally used behind the furnace. Of course, placing it in the front is beneficial to the dust removal load of the boiler, but the heat loss increases, which is not conducive to heat recovery.
Our unit's pyrite acid-making cyclone is placed behind the waste heat boiler because the smoke in the flue gas contains a lot of heat, which can improve the waste heat recovery rate. The material selection of the cyclone is also looser, that is, some anti-scouring devices are installed in the boiler where the gas velocity is high to reduce the wear of the heat exchange tubes.
